I spy a vest on the blog today. Recognize this beauty? It’s part of the great short suit that I got from H&M and featured here. While temps are still warm enough for shorts, I wanted to share a few other ways to wear this vest.
I also realize that not everyone can or wants to wear shorts to work.
A classic piece like this vest really can transform right before your very eyes depending on what you pair with it. Wear it to the office or out for dinner & drinks or even go super casual and wear it with denim shorts.
Office Ready Look:
You can never go wrong with a black on black canvas to start any look. I started with black pants & a black tank and added this vest to take my blank canvas to the next level. Add a great piece to elevate your look. It doesn’t have to be bold and bright or make a huge statement. I’ve always felt that an all-black look is totally chic, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t liven it up a little.
This look is great for the office but it will also transform into a great look for those after-office drinks.
- Vest: H&M Vest.
- Pants: Target – Slim Pants. These are the same pants I wore here. And I love them because they are comfy and have an inseam meant for a petite gal. (25″ inseam)

Date Night/Dinner Out:
I wore this look a few weekends ago when I was in Dallas. It was a great dinner out look. This vest elevated a simple pair of jeans and a basic tank. And then no outfit is complete without accessories…so I jazzed up this basic look with some fabulous and fun accessories.
Neutrals and solids are generally my go-to. I occasionally stray from my uniform and add some print and color to my look but more often than not my outfit is neutral and my accessories are the fun pop.

- Shoes: (Old) But here’s a great option. Make a statement in these. Add some color with these. Snake print is trending.

Casual Look:
