Bucket Bags and Blazers oh my! It’s no secret that I LOVE LOVE LOVE blazers. I spotted this beauty at H&M the other day and I had to have it. I’m obsessed with the colors. And it’s so lightweight, so it’s the perfect Spring blazer.
Blazers
Blazers are just a great grab and go option. It’s safe to say that blazers are my uniform. I just feel like you can elevate any look with a blazer. You don’t have to think about it. Blazers work for your 9 to 5 or your casual weekend look. For example, this blazer from J Crew is a perfect option — such a versatile piece. Check out my post on how I style it 4 ways. Whether you want that boss-lady blazer look or that laid back preppy look, a blazer works for both and everything in between.
Bodysuits
Today, I traded-in the my usual graphic tee and blazer combo for a blazer and bodysuit combo. Is anyone else obsessed with bodysuits? I have an entire drawer in my dresser dedicated to them. Long-sleeve, short-sleeve, tank, mock-neck, stripe, you name it I probably have it.
Bodysuits just offer such a seamless look. And you don’t have to worry about it sticking out from a shirt or awkwardly bunching up. They look great on their own or paired with a blazer or a vest. When you need that body hugging shirt, bodysuits are the way to go. I especially love a bodysuit with high-waisted jeans.
Bucket Bags
The bucket bag trend has been around for a little while. It started on the catwalks and then made it’s way to mainstream. At first, I was hesitant. I remember bucket bags from my high school years. That was back when everyone had a Dooney & Burke bucket bag. Nothing against the bag but it just wasn’t my style. It’s safe to say that the bucket bag has been transformed — it’s fashionable but not too trendy; structured but not too structured.
As I mentioned, I was hesitant about this style so I started by grabbing this one from Forever 21. Came with a low price tag, so it seemed like the perfect way for me to test this silhouette. Well….what can I say…I’m hooked. I love this bag and now I’m looking for other options. I’ve found that it’s endlessly practical and holds all my essentials. This particular size has been perfect for running around. It holds my wallet, keys, phone and lipstick — the basics.
Confession….
I’ve had my eye on a bucket bag with a higher price point, but wanted to test this wear with everything silhouette first. So stay tuned for the reveal of my next bucket bag.

Make it Your Own…
I think the bucket bag trend all started with the Mansur Gavriel bag. This one is truly a classic everyday bag. Clave V. does not disappoint with this Pot de Miel Top Handle Straw Bag. The perfect laid back raffia bag for Spring and Summer. This cutout bucket bag is carefree and fun – great addition to any casual outfit. There’s no denying the timeless appeal of this STAUD Bissett leather bucket bag. Think Pink with this fun rope bag. Here’s a bucket bag with a classic silhouette but a fun wide strap. Carry it crossbody or on the shoulder.
Bucket bags aren’t limited to leather. We are seeing them in laid back raffia, bold fashion statements, rope, and beads. The options are endless. What bucket bag are you going to strut into Spring with?
