Sweater Weather

When fall arrives we stand in line for our pumpkin spice lattes, count the days till we get to eat pumpkin pie & turkey, watch the leaves turn and…pull out our cozy sweaters. Because it’s officially sweater weather my friends!

I had a girl’s day on Saturday so I swapped out my typical graphic tee for a cozy yet lightweight sweater. This sweater really is perfect for Texas because well quite frankly we never know what the temperatures will be. Hot, cold, hot, cold, cold, cold, hot. It’s always a surprise.

As I’ve mentioned before I’m more of a blazer girl, but I wanted to add a few new sweaters to my closet. I started to scroll the pages of Amazon to see what goodies I could find…and boy did I find some goodies.

Today, I’m just sharing this one sweater with you but stay tuned because this wasn’t the only piece that arrived on my doorstep from Amazon.

The Sweater

I’m generally a small size 4/6 but ordered this one in a medium because I wasn’t sure of the fit. The medium fit but it’s a bit oversized. But with oversized sweaters being all the rage right now it works.

Oversized sweaters are like big hugs that never leave you or get cold.

Unknown.

Color: This one is described as grey. I wouldn’t consider this one grey. It’s more cream. I’d call it oatmeal and the lightning bolts are brown. It does come in another color.

Quality: I’m very pleased with the quality. It is lightweight.

Styling Tips

  • With oversized pieces, you can always do a French tuck or front tuck. And don’t feel like you need to do your front tuck directly in the front. You can also do a tuck off to the side…this still gives you the chance to camouflage your midsection if you so desire.
  • This sweater is also long enough to wear with leggings. It will look great with leggings and a cute pair of booties or boots.
  • You can also order one size up so it’s really oversized and then wear it with one side off the shoulder. Pair it with a bralette so the thin straps of the bralette show.

What I did this weekend…

I went to Vintage Market Days on Saturday. It was fun and a great way to get into the Christmas Spirit. Everyone had Christmas decor out and it really got me excited and in the mood to start decorating. They also have quite a few vintage finds and antiques. They set up in all areas so head to their website to see if they are going to be near you.

I also got the chance to try “the best tasting donut EVER…and always made fresh.”

Fredericksburg mini-donut company was there serving donuts. I won’t lie… they were quite tasty…melt in your mouth good. If you ever have the chance to try them, I’d recommend them.

After Vintage Market Days, we headed into the town of Dripping Springs and checked out the downtown area. Super cute! So many fun little shops to check out. It’s always fun to explore new areas close to home.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you get a big hug or a cozy sweater this week.
