One, two, three, four I declare a blazer war. To say that I love a blazer is an understatement. I won’t even admit to how many blazers I actually have. The number of black ones alone. But currently, I’m mad for plaid and wanted to share with you how I’m wearing a plaid blazer.
Everywhere I look there’s a blazer that has caught my eye. Anyone else have the same problem? Who am I kidding….there’s more than just one blazer out there that catches my eye. The way that some feel about their sweaters or their pumpkin spice lattes is the way I feel about a good blazer. SWOON!
Mad For Plaid: My Blazer
I felt that I needed to add at least one new blazer to my Fall wardrobe and this plaid one with a belt just seemed like the right fit. I love the belt detail and the burgundy stripe in the plaid.
Anytime I get to start with my black and white color palette and add a fun pop of color I’m a happy girl. I snagged this cutie a few weeks ago at H&M. I’ve been really impressed with H&M lately. They along with Target have really stepped up their game. They make it possible for me to add a new blazer to my wardrobe every season. LOL.
I’ve been fortunate in that all my jobs have allowed me to wear jeans at some point during the week. Granted there were times that I had to meet with clients or give a presentation, but most of the time I could grab a great pair of jeans and elevate the look with my favorite piece…a blazer.
Anyone else’s go-to outfit jeans and a blazer?
I am a huge fan of versatile pieces so today I’m sharing 2 ways that I actually wore this blazer and a way you can make it appropriate for a more formal office.
All Dressed Up…
- Blazer: H&M – Jacket with belt
- Jeans: Good American – Good Waist Cropped with raw hem (bought mine at Evereve, but you can get them here & here. And Nordstrom Rack has some options at a discounted price). I am OBSESSED with these jeans. I will say that I just tried on some jeans at Target & they were a great high waisted jean. Held everything in & a great wash.
- Bag: Target – Top Handle Satchel Handbag – A New Day – Burgundy (comes in 3 other colors)
- Shoes: (old) Marc Fisher. But it’s all about adding that fun shoe to the look. Sometimes when you think of a plaid blazer you may think menswear or maybe preppy or prime & proper but you can have a little fun & add that unexpected element….like a fun shoe. You can never go wrong with leopard. A great snake print in a fun color.
- Tank: Old basic from Target. These are some of my favorite basic tanks from Target. They hold up really well.
Rockin & Rollin…
- Tank: Chaser – Rock N Roll Graphic Tank
- Shoes: P448 – John Leopard Sneaker
- Jeans: Good American – Good Waist Cropped Raw Hem Skinny Jeans
Office Ready…
- Bodysuit: I actually found this bodysuit at Target and it’s the perfect shade of burgundy.
- Dressy joggers: Vince (these are pretty old, but I’ll share a few alternatives). Target joggers // A great pair in green // Nordstrom Rack // This style comes in 3 other colors & leopard!
- Bag: (old) Vintage Chanel – purchased at Style Encore. Similar one here
- Shoes: (old)
If you are new here then you have to check out this blazer as well, it’s another one of my favorites.
How would you style this blazer?
