I’m a sucker for a great matching set. Suits just aren’t what they used to be. Trends and silhouettes have changed and we now get to ditch the mannish suits and trade them in for something more feminine.

How to pull off a tailored two-piece you ask. Well just about any way that you want. Suits aren’t exclusive to the office anymore. They are great for the holidays and of course the office but wear it on your next date night or night at the theater. You can also pair it with fashion sneakers and a graphic tee for a casual chic look.

I found this tailored two-piece at Amazon and I’d give it 4 stars. I will say for me the one downfall was that the sizing is small, medium or large. Ultimately I need a small on top and a medium on the bottom but couldn’t order it that way. But with the oversized blazer being a trend right now I think it works.

There is a shade of red for every woman.

• Bag: Vintage Chanel (old. I’ve had this for years. But I bought it at Style Encore.)
• Shoes: Old. Add your favorite pair of black heels or even strappy sandals.

• T-shirt: Amazon – sequin red lips T-shirt
• Shoes: Old. Add your favorite pair of nude shoes. I love wearing nude shoes because I feel like they elongate my legs which I need all the help I can get. At 5’2″, I’m always looking for ways to feel taller.

Casual Chic

What would an outfit be if there wasn’t a way to pair it with your leopard fashion sneakers. A day doesn’t go by that I regret buying these sneakers. They are an investment but I found myself wearing them more often than I would have ever guessed.

• Tshirt: Rag & Bone from Nordstrom Rack. I bought mine in the store. They also have in black and olive green. This is a thick T-shirt that’s not see-through. (And machine washable.) I found it in an oatmeal color here. Here it is in grey.
• Sneakers: P448 John Leopard sneakers

Power suits aren’t going anywhere so take the plunge and add one to your closet. They aren’t just for the office anymore. You can tailor this tailored two-piece to match the occasion.

Why not dress it up and wear it to a wedding? Dress it down for Sunday brunch.
