Boho, edgy, classic, preppy — no matter your style, I’d venture to say that we all have at least one common denominator in our closets…and that’s a great pair of jeans. Are you ready to give your skinny jeans a break? They aren’t going away but you can give them a brief break and clear the way for straight-leg jeans.
I don’t know about you but I’m ready to get involved with the high rise straight-leg jean. It’s currently ruling the runways, the front row, and our closets. My search for the right straight-leg jeans wasn’t the easiest of my missions but I’m never meet a fashion mission that I wasn’t ready to take on. Admittedly, I did try several different pairs at several different price points, but it should come at no surprise that I ended up with a pair of Good American. I was lucky enough to score these from Nordstrom Rack.
But Walmart and Target both have some great options. Great high-rise options but this girl is loving the super high rise that the Good American offers, but I’ll link the other ones that I tried on.
Straight-leg jeans are going to be the staple jean style for Spring/Summer that you can’t go wrong with. Today I’m sharing a few ways I’ve styled my new straight-leg jeans so far.
Striped Sweater & Fun Shoes
- Straight-leg jeans – Nordstrom Rack
- Striped sweater – H&M (comes in 5 solid colors and 2 stripes)
- Bag – Kurt Geiger
- Shoes – Schutz from Nordstrom Rack
Just Add a Blazer
Comfy Casual
- Puff sleeve sweatshirt – Target
- Shoes – Vince Rita Sandals (These are my favorite heels but they are getting harder and harder to find. Insert sad face. But if you find some in your size…..grab them.)
- Bag – Coach (borrowed from my mom)

Make It Your Own:
- Walmart – These are really great for the price. Nice and high waisted and a good wash. They are currently on sale for $20!! They come in dark grey too. (I bought the blue & the grey and I think I may just have to add the grey to my closet.)
- Target – I actually really liked the fit of these but ultimately decided that I wanted a pair with no distressing.
- Agolde has super great ones too with superb distressing but these weren’t as high rise as I’d like but other than than….the fit was awesome!
