Graphic tees have always been a big part of my wardrobe. My go-to look has always been to pair them with a blazer & jeans but I’m loving the midi skirt trend right now. So I’m trading in my jeans for a midi skirt for today’s took.
Even though graphic tees have always been a part of my wardrobe they are really having a moment right now. Some may see them as too casual or juvenile, but it all comes down to is how you style it. The key when putting together an outfit with a graphic tee is to avoid looking frumpy. Let’s face it it’s not a look that any woman is after. Your first instinct may be is to just let the tee fall where it may but sharing a few alternatives below.
Styling Tips:
- Tuck your shirt in. You don’t think twice about tucking in your button-down so why second guess tucking in your t-shirt?
- Tuck in a portion of your shirt (known as the French Tuck) – this adds dimension to your look and it gives it that hint of edginess.
- Knotting your shirt (tie it in a knot and let it sit to the side or in front) – adds that sassy-sweetness to your look.
- Add a belt (tuck your shirt in and add a great statement belt)
- Add some structure with a great blazer or moto jacket. (I can’t wait till it gets cooler because that’s exactly what I’m gonna do…wear this look with a blazer or moto jacket. Maybe even add a great pair of booties.)
