So, sometimes we don’t know exactly how a specific item or trend enters the streets but before we know it we see that piece everywhere. And in the blink of an eye, it goes from the store to our closets.
The leopard midi skirt is one trend that has grown so much over the past few years that it’s gained it’s own Instagram. You know you’ve made it when you are an article of clothing and you have an Instagram account dedicated to you. I have arrived!
Midi skirt…styled two ways
Some ladies are lucky enough to get to start thinking about Fall. Not the case here, but I still wanted to show how you can wear this outfit now and then later. Let’s change the subject and talk about another trend…the graphic tee paired with the midi skirt. Social pressure or love at first sight? For me, it’s love at first sight. I’m loving this combo and don’t see myself growing tired of it any time soon. I seem to have a special fondness for leopard midi skirts. But I’ve always loved leopard prints. It’s a print that has always played a role in my wardrobe…not always a leading role but a role.
If you are a little nervous about this trend, this outfit is the perfect way to test drive both trends because both pieces are from Target. So you can test drive it without spending a fortune. This particular leopard print is a smaller print and it’s in a classic color palette.

Styling Tip:
For my petite gals out there, you might be thinking…how’d you get this midi skirt to be a good length on you, Jessica? I could have hemmed it but I’ll be honest and say…I was just too lazy. Well, the beauty of some of the midi skirts out there is that it has an elastic waistband. The ones that are about an inch thick are perfect because you can basically roll it at the waistband till you get the length you want. Laugh, but it’s been working for me. Short girl hack.
Make It Your Own:
Maybe you aren’t feeling the graphic tee. That’s ok. You can pair this look with a simple black top. Go for a cardigan or blazer if you aren’t vibing with the moto jacket.
