Five Fab Finds: J.Crew

Words can’t express how excited I am to share this week’s five fab finds from J.Crew. I have been waiting to share this leopard print short suit. I fell in love with this outfit and knew it had to be mine. I’m just loving the short suit trend right now. (if you couldn’t tell) And now you can find them everywhere. See my other posts here and here where I share two other short suits.

You might be asking yourself…is leopard print still in style? While I have always felt that it’s classic, some may argue that it is not. But whether you think it’s a classic or a trend, animal print was on the runways for Spring 2019 and it’s going to be sticking around for a while.

Fashion should be fun and accessible.

Making Fashion Fun…

I wanted to have fun with this look. Yes, more fun than a leopard suit. So I decided to add…Wait for it…

A Graphic Tee

You know I love a good graphic tee especially when it’s paired with a blazer. Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. I just loved the words on the shirt French Fries & Italian Guys! I’m just following Anna’s advice and making fashion fun.

I love this suit set!! It’s a linen material so it’s very lightweight. The shorts have a side zip and a 3.5″ inseam so they are a little more work appropriate than some. (And I feel the inseam is necessary to share because not all women want to wear short shorts.)

This blazer will be so versatile. You can wear it with black or white pants. And those aren’t the only ways to wear it. Try it: with jeans, over a dress or with a skirt or a pair of solid shorts. The options really are endless. And blazers are perfect for Texas weather.

My Look:

As I said earlier, leopard is a classic to me. It’s a print that women of all ages and size can wear. Leopard is for everyone and I don’t think it’s going anywhere. Sometimes it’s front and center when it comes to fashion and sometimes it’s on the sidelines, but it’s always there.

And there a ton of ways that you can wear it. Head to toe leopard may not be the look for you, but maybe you could wear the blazer with your favorite pair of jeans. Or wear a leopard print top with a simple pair of pants.

Oh, the many ways you can wear leopard.

Make it Your Own:

Just a few quick ideas on how to wear leopard print.

  • Shoes: Grab a cute pair of sneakers to strut leopard print.
  • Blouse: Dress up your work look with a classic button-down. Maybe you have to wear a suit to work…so why not spice it up and wear this leopard button-down with it.
  • Skirt: Target – Wild Fable Pleated Midi Skirt or this pleated leopard print skirt.

Check back later because I’m going to do a whole post on leopard print looks.

So, walk on the wild side this season and grab your favorite leopard print garment.
