Happy Friday! There’s no rhyme or reason to this week’s Five Fab Finds. I’m just sharing 5 items that I recently discovered that I’m enjoying. Sometimes it really is the simple things that make you smile.
1. Silicone baking sheets
I know these are intended for baking and I’m sure they will work great for that very use but I ordered them with another purpose in mind. I love roasted veggies. Roasted veggies are on the menu quite frequently and I was getting tired of throwing away foil and having to keep a neverending supply. So I figured I didn’t have anything to lose by trying these for my veggies. These work great for roasting vegetables and the best part…they survived the dishwasher.
Note: I have been spraying these sheets just to be on the safe side.
2. Everything But The Bagel Crusted Cod
I’ll admit that I was a little unsure about this one when I got it but OMG let me just say…THIS FISH IS AMAZING! Run don’t walk to your nearest Costco to get a box of this fish. I love fish but I especially love having pre-seasoned fish in the freezer that I can just grab and throw in the oven with some roasted veggies and VOILA dinner is ready. This fish is so flavorful and you broil it at the very end so it gets a little crunchy on the outside. If I didn’t know better, I’d think I was out at a restaurant. Enjoy!
P.S. I also cooked this on the silicone baking sheets.
3. All-Purpose Cleaner (Spray)
I don’t know what it is but I feel like my kitchen is clean when my cleaner smells good. Silly, I know. I’ve tried different ones but I really like this Ever Spring spray. I got the citrus & basil scent and it’s so refreshing. Not a fan of cleaning up the kitchen but this yummy scent makes it a little more enjoyable. It just makes the kitchen smell fresh and clean.
Ever Spring has other products… room spray, dish soap, foaming hand soap. (Most of the products come in a variety of scents so you can choose the one you like best.)
4. Reusable Sandwich Bags
I ordered these with the same thought as foil…I use so many Ziploc bags. Is there a way to reduce my garbage? I also like to have snack foods with me from time to time. (Fruit, pretzels, crackers, chips, peanut butter foldover) So I thought these would be nice to have because they would be more durable than your traditional Ziploc but I’d also be able to re-use.
One downfall is they are hand wash, but I’m not putting food inside that’s messy so it’s easy to wash.
5. Beauty Blender
Another blogger turned me on to these and I’m so glad that I pulled the trigger and ordered this 5 pack of beauty blenders.
These are not your basic makeup sponges. Beauty blenders are different. You use these with water. If you are looking for that flawless makeup look, then start using a beauty blender. The trick is to get it wet prior to use, but you want to squeeze out the excess water. I squeeze out the excess water and then I squeeze it out in a washcloth so it soaks up a little more of the water. I use a beauty blender to apply my foundation and powder. (As well as any concealers that I use.)
I have found that patting my makeup on with the blender gives the best end look. This also allows you to decide what kind of coverage you want. (light or heavy)
All I can say is I’m so glad that I finally gave these I try.
