Old Navy Striped Dress Styled Two Ways

Versatile pieces are key to a great wardrobe. I love having pieces in my closet that I can wear multiple ways. Pieces that I can dress up or dress down depending on the occasion. Sometimes you splurge on these pieces and sometimes you get lucky and you find them for a great deal.

That’s what happened with this dress. I was at Old Navy one day just looking for basics…tees and tanks and this dress caught my eye. Generally, I stay away from long dresses or midi dresses because of my petite frame. But I fell in love with the print of the dress so it’s off to the fitting room I go.

Sadly, I tried it on and it was the wrong size, but I LOVED IT! Thankfully OldNavy.com lets you check stock online and find a store that has your size so that’s exactly what I did. And I found this dress in my size and raced to that location immediately.

And I’m so glad that I did because I still love this dress. I’ve worn it several times and worn it in several ways. Today, I’m sharing two ways that I’ve worn it. One look is on the dressier side and one is very casual.

Casual Look:

My Look:

  • Dress: Old Navy – Waist-Defined Button-Front V-Neck Midi Dress in Blue Stripe. Also comes in Tamarind (red-orange color) and Very Peri and Black Floral Print. Here’s a cute cami version in yellow stripe. J.Crew has this cute sleeveless option – comes in 3 colors. Another option from J.Crew…this jumpsuit – you can achieve the same look with a jumpsuit. This jumpsuit from Old Navy is also cute.
  • Demin Jacket: J.Crew (OLD). But J.Crew still has the same great classic denim jacket. Here’s another great option from J.Crew Factory and it’s on sale right now. Love this one with the embroidered detail. Old Navy’s Denim Jacket here. A classic option from Amazon.
  • Bag: Chloe Roy Bucket Bag Small from Fashionphile. They currently have several other options available. Love the Motty Grey color at Nordstrom. I found a great option from Forever 21 with a much lower price point and it’s cute too!
  • Earrings: Evereve – Thirty-Nine 42 Campbell Beaded Earring. Or a fun option from Target. Here’s a great option from Amazon that’s more of a mustard color. Another fun option from Amazon. Make a statement with these.
  • Shoes: Evereve – J/Slides – Kayla Espadrille Sneaker in light grey. (These are beyond comfy. These are an all-day on your feet shoe.) You can also get these at Nordstrom and they come in several different colors.

Make it Your Own:

It would also be cute to wear a belt with this dress. I have this one from H&M and think it would look really cute with it. You could also wear a blazer over this dress to make it look even more professional. Feel that it’s too low cut? Wear a lace-trimmed cami underneath it. (It’s hard to tell but I actually wore this bralette with the dress in one of the looks.)
