Cream blazer required…

Happy Monday, friends! With the state of things right now, I know I’m not alone when I ask the question…should I post and continue with business as usual? Things are crazy right now with everything that’s going on with the CoronaVirus. We are all concerned and worried about the state of things and have no idea what the weeks ahead hold but my plan is to keep on keeping on and remain calm. There’s no need to panic. There’s plenty of that happening right now…just head to your local grocery store and walk down the bread or toilet paper aisle. But I do I think it’s great how everyone is taking the right steps for themselves and practicing social distancing and taking steps to keep themselves and their families safe and healthy. I think that’s the best thing to do right now.

But with that being said, I also want to have some normalcy. When I started this blog, my plan was to have a creative outlet to share my fashion, home decor, and recipes. So, for now, that’s what I will continue to do.

I hope you and your family remain healthy and safe. Let’s keep supporting each other where and when we can and share ways to keep ourselves entertained when self-quarantined.

Spring has officially hit Austin so my Spring Wardrobe needed a blazer. Cream blazer required. I found this great cream blazer from H&M a few weeks ago and when I first spotted it I had a good feeling about it but all that changed when it arrived at my door. This blazer is EVERYTHING! It’s everything I knew that I wanted in a cream blazer. It’s like a cream and linen color combined so in my mind it’s the perfect neutral blazer for Spring/Summer.

You can truly make your look come alive with a cream or white blazer. Any type of blazer will elevate your look but not all blazers are created equal. A cream blazer will not only elevate your look but it also gives your look more of a feminine feel.

Whether you have the blues or the mean reds add a lighter tone blazer to brighten up your look.

Side note: Breakfast at Tiffany’s is one of my favorite movies. Have you seen it? I always think about when Holly talks about having the mean reds. I never really looked into its meaning until today.

No, the blues are because you’re getting fat or maybe it’s been raining too long. You’re sad that’s all. The mean reds are horrible. You’re afraid, and you sweat like hell, but you don’t know what you’re afraid of. Except something bad is going to happen, only you don’t know what it is. You’ve had that feeling?

Truman Capote

So during our time of mean reds….let’s motivate and help each other. Whether it’s with recipes or outfit ideas or helping someone in need. Take care of your family, take care of those in need, be kind, don’t panic, and most of all, be smart. We all know how to be healthy and safe so let’s do that.

More Ways to Wear It

This blazer will take you from work to weekend! When I’m ready to show some legs, I have every intention of pairing it with shorts. How are you going to wear your neutral-toned blazer for Spring?
