A blouse for work and weekend wear. I like to get as much use out of my clothing as I can so when I find a piece that I can wear multiple ways I get excited. I get even more excited when I find a great piece at a great price.

So I would wear this blouse with these high waisted jeans to work or to happy hour, but I know not everyone can wear jeans to work.

If you can’t wear jeans to work, a statement blouse will look great with a classic pair of dress pants. It will also look great peeking out from under a structured blazer. Need another option? Pair a great blouse with a fun skirt.

Let’s Talk About This Blouse…

Does anyone else search the racks at Nordstrom Rack to see what kinds of treasures are hiding amongst all the clothes? 

I love going through the racks to see what I can find.

On my latest adventure at Nordstrom Rack, I was minding my own business walking past the clearance racks. I promise I really wasn’t going to do an intense search. I was on a mission to find shoes for my niece and nephew….which I did by the way.  But this Veronica Beard top just called my name. I’m not generally a button-down shirt kinda girl. And I don’t normally go for ruffles, but this top just spoke to me. Don’t ask me why. It just did. 

And you know what spoke to me even more? The $39 price tag. Yes, yes you read that right. I scored this Veronica Beard shirt for $39. I’d say that’s a steal of a deal.

Obviously, I raced to the fitting room to try it on but I wasn’t sure….maybe it was the polka dot midi skirt I had on and tried it on with. Or maybe it was the ruffles. But I just knew that I had to take it home with me and give it a chance. I knew it had potential. 

So home we went and I’m so glad that I didn’t leave Veronica Beard behind because I love the look of this top with high waisted jeans. Yes, yes these are my Good Americans. Highly doubt I’ll ever wear another pair of jeans. Not ready to pull the trigger on the triple-digit price tag? I get it. Head to Nordstromrack.com to see several different options there. So head to your local Nordstrom Rack to see what you can find and don’t be afraid to step outside the box. Just because something doesn’t look good on a hanger doesn’t mean it won’t look good on you.

The Accessories

Once upon a time, I was scared of pattern mixing. I mean come on it can be quite intimidating. But slowly I experimented more and more and now I’m all about it. When I was looking at all my shoes, trying to decide which ones to wear I knew it had to be these with bees all over them. 

I scored these cuties at Nordstrom last year. I’ll see if I can find them anywhere. But you get the point…you can have fun with pattern mixing.
