Book Review: The Thing About Jane Spring

I can’t count how many times I’ve read this book. And let’s just say there aren’t too many books that I read more than once. But this one is just a fun girly feel-good book. A light-hearted read.

To catch the perfect man, she had to become the perfect lady.

Sharon Krum

Jane thought that she everything to offer a man. They were lining up to take her out on a date…well a first date…the problem was there was never a second date. It was just first date after first date. She couldn’t understand what was wrong with her. Why couldn’t see just find a nice guy?

Jane always thought that men wanted a smart, ambitious and sexually available woman but her past experience proved that to be wrong. Why couldn’t she get the guy?

It was a snowy night in NYC and Jane was watching a Doris Day marathon and suddenly it hit her…Doris Day got all the men. Doris got a second date hey she got a fourth & fifth. Men were lining up for Doris. So what was it that Doris was doing that Jane wasn’t?

So Jane decided to do her research and figure out how Doris got the guy. Her quick conclusion was: men want a woman that wears pencil skirts & kitten heels. A woman that speaks softly and likes bright, happy colors.

What Jane had been doing sure wasn’t working for her so why not try it Doris’ way? What did she have to lose?

Why not cut my hair and paint my bedroom yellow.

Read this book to follow Jane’s adventure as she becomes a Doris and see how everyone reacts to her sudden and drastic change.

Will Jane get the guy? The only way to find out is by reading the book. You won’t regret it.
