Five Fab Finds: Currently Loving

Happy Friday! This week’s Five Fab Finds is just a fun mix of items I’m loving at the moment. I get excited when I discover new products and love to share my discoveries with you.

Earrings

I liked these earrings when I saw them at Nordstrom Rack but then I got home and tried them on. Can’t really explain it…I just love the way they look. Not sure if it was the shape or the color that drew me in but these will be on major rotation this summer. And they aren’t super heavy which is always a plus. I wore them with just a white top the other day & loved how they accented my outfit. They also come in a tortoise color.

Watch

I’m an Apple Watch girl before that I had a Fitbit. I like to keep track of my steps and can’t complain about seeing when I get a text or a call or an email. I grab my Apple Watch most days but every now and then I want a pretty watch to wear. Since it’s not something I wear every day, I didn’t want to spend a lot. I found this fun rose gold one from Magenta Store. I got the Zoe in Rose White. With code jessicastyle50 you get 50% off your watch. Warning: Shipping takes a minute so be patient.

Lipstick

Confession: I only started wearing lipstick on a regular basis about a year ago. Everyone always encouraged me to wear it and that I looked good in it, but I just had issues with how it felt on my lips. I was a chapstick girl. But I found some lipsticks that I liked and the rest is history. I suddenly became a lipstick girl. Since then, I feel like I have been on the search for the perfect lipstick. Looking for the perfect color, the perfect texture, one that wouldn’t majorly rub off. (Or dry out my lips.) I plan on doing a post about all the lipsticks I tried and a review, but right now I’m really liking this Milani Amore Satin Matte Lipstick in 01 Lavish.

When you first put it on, it’s kinda shiny and very moist & creamy, but give it a few minutes. It will dry and once it dries it doesn’t dry out your lips and it offers minimal transfer. I also don’t feel like I have to reapply frequently. And it’s got a great price tag at less than $10. This particular color is a great nude for me. This is my go-to when I want a little color but not a bold statement lip. It offers a little pigment on my lips but they have a variety of colors. So if you want a statement color they have options. I just love the way it feels, so I will definitely be checking out what other colors will complement my coloring. You can get it at Target and Ulta for sure.

Eyeliner

This was a VERY exciting discovery for me. I used to use Laura Mercier tight line for my eyeliner and I loved it…used it for years. But then I get my makeup done and before I knew it I was straying from my tight line and trying new products. One of them was the Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof eyeliner. I think I’ve been using the Chanel eyeliner for about 3 years and I love it. It’s easy to apply — it just glides on. (It is a pain to wash off. LOL. You definitely need to use eye makeup remover.) There’s not a bad thing that I could say about this eyeliner expect it’s $33 price tag.

So…I was putting on my makeup one morning and realized that I was TOTALLY out of eyeliner and I didn’t have a back-up. UH OH. So I make it work but know that I have to get eyeliner ASAP. I didn’t have time to go anywhere and get the Chanel so I grabbed a Loreal eyeliner.

Can I just say WOW

This Loreal eyeliner is amazing. It might actually glide on smoother than the Chanel. It applies the exact same way. The color I got was pretty much an exact match. In all honesty, I can not tell the difference between these two products. I am just as happy with the Loreal eyeliner as I was with the Chanel eyeliner. But there’s one thing that is different..the price tag. The Loreal Pencil Perfect in espresso comes in at $7.50. I’m sorry Chanel but I think I’ll stick with the Loreal for now.

Tula Face Scrub

You go and save the best for last.

Save the Best for Last by Vanessa Williams

I’ve talked to you before about face scrubs. After testing several, Laura Mercier Face Polish was my favorite. I loved it. Well…sorry Laura but you have been replaced. Tula debuted this new So Polished Exfoliating Sugar Scrub. I’ve been testing some of their products so I had to give this one a try. (You can also get it on Amazon.)

I have no words.

This product is truly amazing. You rub it on your face and you can feel the microbeads doing their job. Then you wash it away and not only does it leave your skin soft and glowing but it smells SOOOOO GOOD. It’s gotta be the pineapple and papaya in it. When they say that it smells like a beach vacation, they aren’t kidding. But good smell aside I’m pleased with the way this product makes my face feel and how it looks after. I’ve only been using it a few days but I can’t wait to see long term results. Check out the benefits here. So far I’ve been very impressed with the Tula skin care products I’ve been using.
