How to dress up a jumpsuit you ask? How to have a little fun with one of the biggest trends of 2019…the jumpsuit…
Fashionista or not we are all familiar with the iconic brown and white polka dot dress from the 90’s movie Pretty Woman. I think every girl has dreamt about a shopping spree on Rodeo Drive…minus the mean sales girl of course.
What girl doesn’t want to be the chic woman at the polo match in her brown & white polka dot dress, straw hat, white gloves and matching white kitten heels?
Today’s look pays homage to Vivian’s iconic dress. This jumpsuit caught my eye on the Old Navy website and it wasn’t just because it comes in petite. I got total Pretty Woman polo match vibes when I saw it. And jumpsuits are really having a moment right now and they are a piece that you can easily dress up or down depending on the occasion.
This look is all about how to dress up a jumpsuit. I think we are all always on the hunt for new looks that we can wear to the office. (Because sadly I won’t be attending a polo match anytime soon.) We are looking for ways to mix and match our pieces. We are in search of those fun new additions to our wardrobe so we can get away from the traditional pants and top combo. Since I work in a creative environment, I’m always looking for new looks that I can wear to the office or even to church or whatever occasion you have that calls for something other than jeans.
I’ve added my white Zara vest (which you’ve seen before here) and a pair of snakeskin heels. I could have followed in Vivian’s footsteps and worn a white heel of sorts but snakeskin print is everywhere right now so I wanted to embrace the trend and do a little pattern mixing in this look. I also added a pop of color with my blue bag.
