Five Fab Beauty Finds

Happy Friday! Today I decided to do something a little different for my fab finds series. I want to share five fab beauty finds with you today. Some of these I have been using for years and some are new finds. But I’d say that they are all some of my favorites. Some I’ll keep in my makeup bag for years.

#1 Seikisho Mask White

I can not even tell you how many years I have been using this mask. I’ve never understood why it’s called mask white because when you squeeze this out of the tube it’s as black as can be. It’s like this black goo and it’s little sticky.

Note on Application: I will say that this is a mask that you want to apply a generous layer. You don’t want to skimp. Trust me…it makes peeling it off easier. It can take a while to dry so you want to make sure that it’s completely dry to the touch and not tacky. (And try and keep away from your eye area just because peeling it off can be a little painful to those sensitive skin areas.)

This is a peel-off mask and it leaves your skin feeling so clean and soft. When it says that it clears clogged pores, it truly does. Now to the part that I really like about this but I’m a little embarrassed to share…So when you peel off this mask you can see the blackheads that it’s pulled out of your face. Gross, I know, but at least we know that it’s working! And of course, the more often you use this with a good exfoliant then the fewer blackheads. I will never forget the first time I used it. I was like WOW, did this really just come off my face? Gross, I know. Sorry. I just had to share and be honest with you about how well it works.

I can remember the results from my first use but I can’t remember when I started using this and where I first bought it. All I can say is that I’m so glad that I found it. I’ve tried a ton of masks and none have given me the results or satisfaction that this one does. I’m a sucker for all those fun masks at Target and Sephora and everywhere else that has them at the register. I’m happy to report that Amazon carries this black mask now.

In my opinion, it’s worth every penny. You get what you pay for with this one.

#2 Laura Mercier Face Polish

So this is another product that I have been using for years. After using this one my face feels amazing. When you scrub it on, you can feel the microbeads working into your skin. When it says that it gently removes dead skin cells, it’s not kidding. Just like the Mask White this face polish also leaves your skin feeling clean and smooth. If I had to choose one, it would probably be this one. It’s gentle enough that you can use several times a week.

I use this when I want to give my face a mini facial.

Let me say that I have tried to find an alternative to this, but I haven’t found one yet that leaves your skin feeling the way that this face polish does. This is also worth every penny. If anyone knows of a great face polish for less, I’m all ears.

#3 Chanel L’Huile

This is a newish product for me. I started using this cleansing oil the fall of last year. I wasn’t sure at first but my make-up artist really sold me on the product. Well the product delivered exactly what she said it would.

I don’t know about you but I’ve always struggled with finding a face wash that actually removes my eye make-up. (eyeliner and mascara) I found that I was having to use eye make-up remover or make-up wipes just to get the eye makeup off. But I didn’t feel like either cleaned my face. Might sound silly but that’s how I felt.

Well, this product not only removes all the eye makeup but it goes on so silky you want to just leave it on your face. And it smells good too! When you rinse it off, it not only takes off all the makeup but it leaves your skin feeling soft and luminous and ready for the next step in your skincare routine.

You apply it directly to your skin and massage in and then you rinse off with water. Sidenote: It also protects your skin from pollution.

Now, I will be honest and say that I have jumped on the double cleanse wagon. In the evening, I first remove my makeup with this and then I wash it again with a second cleanser. (Lately, I’ve been using a cleanser from Tula. I’m only 2 weeks in but so far I’m loving the cleanser.) But I will say that this cleansing oil removes all of your make-up and you really could stop after this. I’ve just liked the results I’ve had with my skin since double cleansing. Note: I just use this to remove my makeup. I use the Tula cleanser in the morning.

P.S. You don’t need a lot of this cleansing oil to remove the makeup. This bottle has lasted me for a while. It says 6 months on the bottle but I’ve had mine longer than that and I’m only 1/4 of the way through it.

#4 Milk Makeup Brow Gel

This isn’t the first time that I’ve talked about this brow gel. I also talk about it here with other Milk Makeup products that I love. When I was younger, I didn’t embrace my big eyebrows but my mother scolded me anytime that I over plucked them. Which if I’m being honest was quite a bit in high school. Hey at the time big eyebrows weren’t in. But I’ve thankful that she stayed on me about it because now I’m grateful to have my full eyebrows. And now not only do I want them full but I like to use this brow gel to fill them in and make them look extra full and define the shape. Guess mothers really do know best.

#5 Milani 03 Stellar Lights Highlighter Palette

This is a new product for me. I’m still experimenting with it but I really like it so far. Not only can you use it as a highlighter but you can also use it as your eyeshadow.

It’s three different shades of pink/peach tones so you can mix it up and get the coloring that works best for you. It has a little bit of shimmer to it.

I’ll keep you posted on this one but I’m liking it so far especially with the price point.

P.S. You can buy this at Target or Walmart.

Well, that wraps up this week’s five fab beauty finds. What are some of your favorite beauty products?
