Five Fab Finds: Target

Couldn’t help myself…had to do another five fab finds: Target. They just have so many great things right now and I just ordered something yesterday that I’m super excited about. Stay tuned for a report. It’s something that I’ve been looking for but have struggled because of my height. Let’s see if this one is a winner. (I’ll give you hint…leopard print.)

I got lucky when I went to Target the other day and accessories were on sale for 20% off. I’m a sucker for a sale. These goodies haven’t been in my closet for long but I’m super excited to integrate them into my Summer wardrobe.

Earrings

Generally, I’m a lover of statement earrings but it’s nice to have a simple go-to pair of earrings that you can throw on and walk out the door. The blush and gold combo is what attracted me. These are Universal Thread and there were a ton of cute ones. It was hard to decide which ones were going to go home with me.

Bag

I love crossbody bags and bags that you carry in the crook of your arm but sometimes you just want the ease of a shoulder bag. Shoulder bags have kinda taken a backseat in regards to bags. There are so many options now…crossbody, belted bag, clutches, totes, baskets to name a few. But fashion insiders say that the shoulder bag is making a comeback. Be prepared to see it everywhere. It’s the “hands-free” option so it’s very practical.

And I was looking for a practical Summer bag. This one caught my eye a few weeks ago but I decided to pass on it, but since it was 20% the other day I decided to pull the trigger. (So glad that I waited. It’ll be a great Summer bag.) But even if you can’t get it for 20% off it’s still a great deal.

Wear this with a casual relaxed look or pair it with something a little dressier. It’ll look great with shorts, jeans, dresses, rompers you name it. I was pleased to see that it has pockets on the inside as well as a snap closure.

Here I paired it with jeans and a textured tank. This outfit is all about texture.

Shoes

What can I say about these shoes…I mean look at them…they are FABULOUS! I’m always drawn to black, but when I saw the subtle blue and green accents I had to get them. Something a little different from the norm all black.

These will be that fun pop to any outfit. They were a fun pop to my Amazon dress outfit that I shared here.

Camo Jacket

I’m so excited about this jacket. Who knew that I’d be this excited about a camo jacket. The style and fit are what you’d expect from a pricier jacket. I can see myself wearing this over dresses and rompers and pairing it with distressed shorts (like I did below). When it starts to get cooler, it’ll be great with jeans and booties. This will also be a great travel jacket. I mean let’s face it…it’s versatile, it’s durable, it’s a good weight.

Maybe I’ll even branch out and mix camo with a stripe or go really bold and wear it with neon or sequins.

  • Jacket: Target – Universal Threads – Camo Jacket (size down in this if you want more of a fitted look)
  • Bodysuit: Free People – Marissa Bodysuit in Ivory (This comes in 4 colors and the fit is amazing. It’s by far one of my favorite bodysuits. As of right now, I have it in two colors and I may have to get the other two. It’s that fabulous. It’s great on it own but is a great layering piece.)
  • Shorts: Abercrombie – High Rise Mid Length Shorts.
  • Shoes: H&M – Sandals (These come in 3 colors. They pass the 5.5 hours on your feet test.)
  • Black bag: Target – A New Day – Circle Crossbody bag in Black
  • Tan Block heels: Target – A New Day Block Heels (limited sizes available in the tan color)
  • Gucci Belt: This is a dupe from Amazon. It’s a good looking dupe if you ask my opinion. It’s the skinnier version.
  • Black Bodysuit: Evereve – Free People – Bodysuit
  • Black Jeans: (old) Nordstrom – Wit & Wisdom
  • Tres Chic T-shirt: H&M – Not available online. I purchased in store.
  • Jeans: Target – Wild Fable High Rise Mom Jeans (link above)
  • Shoes: Old Navy – Strappy Block Heel Sandal – Multicolor. They also have these currently on sale for $13. (I talk about them here. Style them in this post.)
  • Book Clutch: (old) Kate Spade. Here’s one place you can buy this one. It’s also available on Poshmark. Here’s a fun little clutch from Forever 21. This mustard one would be cute with this look too. (My vision was to have a little fun with the accessories.)

Jeans

So I actually saw someone in these jeans the other day and had to stop her and ask her where her jeans were from. I was shocked when she told me they were from Target. They looked like $200 jeans but with a price point that will only make you smile.

So I obviously raced to Target immediately to buy a pair. I picked up my normal size only to discover that they run a little big. Thankfully, I was able to order them in a smaller size so I’ll update you on the fit once they arrive. (The reviews online did say that they run big and that they stretch out. So you’ll definitely want to take that into consideration when selecting your size.)

But I love the style and the distressing and that the fact that they aren’t skinny jeans. We are starting to see some new trends with jeans. Many will be tossing aside their skinny jeans to try out one of the many new Spring 2019 jean trends. (the high rise mom jean or distressed straight leg jean being one of them)

I have been coveting these AGOLDE Sophie Crop Jeans which are a pricey distressed straight leg jean but can’t bring myself to pull the trigger, so I was super excited to find a similar look from Target with a much lower price point. I hope that once I get the smaller size that they’ll have a similar look to the AGOLDE ones.

Created a great date night look with these distressed jeans.

  • Black Bodysuit: Evereve – Free People – Marissa Bodysuit
  • Jeans: Target
  • Shoes: Nordstrom Rack (see this post for info and other options)

I’ll admit that there’s nothing earth-shattering about these items but I think they’ll be great additions to my Summer wardrobe. I’m excited to start wearing them and coming up with even more ways to style them.
