Seasons have changed at Target. They are putting out their new Spring stuff and I’m super excited about what I’ve seen so far. Target has a lot of new, exciting clothing lines. Spotted this sheer striped top the other day and new I could find at least 3 ways to style it. Love the blush/mauve stripe. What is it with me right now…I’m so drawn to shades of pink.
As I’ve mentioned before, I love versatile pieces. I love pieces that I can wear in more ways than one. You can wear this top with shorts for a casual look or with dress pants for a business look. The options are endless. There are the 3 looks that I created with it….
Look 1
- Top: Target – striped short sleeve button-down sheer blouse
- White jeans: Old NYDJ – I have these jeans in 4 colors. They are petite with a slit on the side at the ankle. It’s a struggle to find jeans the right length so when I find some that are the right length and a great fit….I buy them in every color. These are a little higher waisted which is another plus in my book. Nordstrom has a nice selection of NYDJ. NYDJ offers petite as well as plus sizes. NYDJ.com also has a great selection of jeans. All the NYDJ that I have all have a little bit of stretch in them which helps with comfort level and makes them easy to move around in. I’ve tried a lot of jeans over the years and I really feel like this brand designs jeans for real women. Low-rise jeans just don’t work for all body types so I prefer it when brands go with a medium to high rise at waist.
- Bag: Zara (old). I love that this option from Amazon can be worn as a crossbody. Join in on the bucket bag trend with this option from Amazon – love the blush tassels. Here’s a smaller option if you don’t care for a bigger bag.
- Shoes: Vince Rita Sandal I’m loving these blush and lucite block heel sandals from Target.
Look 2
- Top: Target blouse
- Blazer: Zadig and Voltaire – Bought this at the Zadig and Voltaire outlet in October. This blazer has a tiny print on it. I like mixing patterns but it’s important to keep scale in mind. Generally you want a big print and a small print. Prints of the same scale can fight with each other. You also want to keep in mind color palettes — patterns with similar color palettes can complement each other well. Love the simple style of this blazer with a tie detail at wrist from Nordstrom. The eyelet detail on this Rebecca Taylor blazer is gorgeous.
- Shoes: Stuart Weitzman from Nordstrom Rack. Here’s a cute option from Amazon in blush. OR these blush suede ones.
- Pants: Zara side-zip pants (old) J Crew offers this side-zip pant and in 3 lengths. J Crew also offers this full length pair in case you aren’t a fan of ankle length.
Look 3
- Top: Target blouse
- Shorts: Veronica Beard denim shorts. Check out this dupe from Target.
- Shoes: & Other Stories (old). This sandal from Target has a great buckle detail and the color is very versatile.
- Purse: Bucket bags are really trending right now. Jury is still out for me. I remember bucket bags were all the rage back in high school but I always felt like they were bottomless pits. Everything sank to the bottom, but there are so many cute options right now. I’ve decided to give them another try. I’ve seen several styles that will be very fun for Spring/Summer. I found this one from Forever 21 that I’m going to try out. Forever 21 bucket bag But Nordstrom has several cute options as well. Question is….to splurge or save? STAUD Bissett leather bag. I love the cutout detail on this Emporia one. I’ve got my eye on this burning camel bucket bag by Chloe. This one might be worth the splurge. Love the strap detail. Here’s a fun woven one from Amazon.
It’s no secret that I like versatile, mix and match, and dress up or down pieces. This top checks all those boxes and at an amazing price point. Do a half-tuck for that casual chic look. Tuck it in for a more polished look — maybe add a great belt. Wear it with white jeans and add a denim jacket.
