Polka dots for Spring are hardly groundbreaking as Miranda Priestly would say. But here we are…sporting this spotted pattern yet again for Spring 2020. So, polka dots have always been a constant in my wardrobe alongside houndstooth and leopard. It excites me to see that polka dots are back and front and center. This spotted pattern had taken a bit of a backseat on the streets and runways. But they are back and bolder than and bigger than ever!
Whether you want to jump right into the polka dot trend or just dip a toe in the polka dot pool, there is a polka dot item out there for you. Go bold with a jumpsuit or start small with a handbag or a headband.
Today, I wanted to share a few new polka dot additions to my closet. Meanwhile, you can see a few past posts here, here and here and see that my love for polka dots isn’t new.
Polka Dots Jumpsuit
As soon as I saw this jumpsuit online, I fell in love. I mean come on… it combines two of my current fashion obsessions…polka dots and puff sleeves. In short, it had to be mine.
I love the lightweight fabric that this jumpsuit is made out of and I mean the silhouette speaks for itself. All I can say is that you feel like you are wearing your pajamas. Need I say more.
- Polka dot jumpsuit
- Shoes from Coach outlet
- Bag from Amazon – a fun pop of color to my look
Why not add a 2nd layer to this look? Throw a denim jacket over this jumpsuit for a more casual look or really make it office-appropriate by pairing it with a blazer. This cream blazer from H&M is going to be on maybe repeat this Spring — I’m obsessed. Therefore, you better get ready because you are going to see it A LOT.
Polka dot Skirt
Groundbreaking…this polka dot skirt…again. So, I couldn’t share polka dot pieces without sharing this skirt. I’m obsessed with it! I loved the leopard print one and I love the polka dot one just as much…well maybe more, but don’t tell the leopard print one that.
The beauty of the midi skirt is that you truly can dress it up or down and I think that’s what we all yearn for when building a wardrobe. We want those pieces that will take us from the office to after-work drinks but also transition into great weekend wear. This skirt checks all those boxes.
Today, I decided to show a dressy and casual way to wear this skirt but be sure to follow me on Instagram so you can see more ways to style it. Let me know if you’d like to see me style it a certain way.

You can carry it on your shoulder or crossbody. It has 2 interior compartments. It’s real leather and it has fabulous details.
