It was love at first sight when I saw this puff sleeve top. That love quickly turned into lust when I realized the price tag. Ouch.
My mission was clear…find a puff sleeve top with a similar look but a lower price point.
If you pay attention to fashion and trends, then you probably know that the puff sleeve top is a big trend for Fall. For me, it wasn’t about the trend, but the chic look of the top. But the fact that it’s trending will make it easier to find an affordable copycat.
So the search began.
Mission Accomplished…
My search came to an end on the pages of Who What Wear tops at Target.com Is anyone else obsessed with this brand at Target? I pretty much love all things Who What Wear.
But let’s get back to the top at hand…
The puff sleeve top from Target. So you might have noticed that I went with a top and not a bodysuit. I’m kinda glad that I did because as much as I love a good bodysuit I also like that I can wear this Target top two ways. You can tuck it in to get the look that you’d get with a bodysuit or you can leave it out. (that versatility thing that I love so much)
My Look:
- Top: Target – Who What Wear Women’s Short Sleeve Deep V-Neck Wrap Top
- Jeans: Target – Universal Thread – Women’s Relaxed Fit High-Rise Cropped Straight Jeans – Light Wash
- Shoes: H&M (old). Here’s a great option from Target.
- Bag: Vintage Chanel (old). Purchased years ago from Style Encore. If you haven’t been you should check them out. They have great designer finds at discounted prices.
This top has been the start of many an outfit since I bought it.
For drinks with friends, I paired it with my favorite jeans, statement earrings and a great pair of heels.
For the office, I paired it with dark jeans and my favorite Vince Rita sandals.
For a great church look, I paired it with one of my many leopard midi skirts.
