Spring Trend: Feminine Flair

Hopeless Romantic isn’t a style I have a lot of experience with. I’ve always been drawn to black, grey and more structured edgy styles. When I think of “feminine flair and hopeless romantic”, I don’t think black. I think of light colors, florals and ruffles. Soft flowy fabrics. I envision shades of white, cream and blush.

Give your inner dreamer the feminine flair she craves with ruffles, flounces, and bows from head to toe.

I won’t be adding bows from head to toe, but I am trying to add more color and soften my wardrobe. Spring inspires me to step outside the box a little and freshen up my look. I suddenly find myself being drawn to shades of pink (for my wardrobe and my home decor).

One of the ways I’ll be doing hopeless romantic this Spring…

Generally, I’m not drawn to floral prints but when I saw this blazer the other day at Style Encore I just had to give it a try. What can I say I liked the fact that the background was black, but still had shades of blush and pink.

  • Blazer: Cynthia Rowley from Style Encore. Other options: Nine West floral blazer from Amazon. Or this soft floral jacket. This one from Amazon has a great detail at the wrist.
  • Jeans: grey jeans (OLD). Here’s a similar pair from NYDJ. I’m liking these grey Paige jeans from Nordstrom.
  • Top: Nordstrom Rack – Frame Denim Front Tie tank top I also like this one from Macy’s
  • Shoes: Stuart Weitzman sandals from Nordstrom Rack. Lucky find on the clearance rack. I love these Desert Rose Suede sandals from Nordstrom.
  • Bag: Chanel – I bought this last summer from Rebag while in New York. They have a great selection of second-hand designer bags.

Style Encore is a resale shop. If you live in the Austin area, you should go by and check them out. The North Austin location is awesome! Style Encore has a great selection of gently used clothing and accessories. They also have a really good selection on designer goods. If you are cleaning out your closet and want to make a few bucks you should stop by, they pay cash on the spot. Check them out if you have one near you!

Make it your own…

These sandals from J.Crew are dreamy with the ankle tie. Romantic vibes from these twist flats from Anthropologie. I love the rose color. Glide into spring with the Reminder of You slides from Anthropologie.

If I could wear this color, I would get this top from Anthropologie. I love the ruffle detail on it. This one feels feminine and flirty; paired with white jeans — amazing look for spring/summer.

“Daisy, daisy give me your heart to do” Anthropologie hit a home run with this one. It’s all about the details with this top. I’d pair it with these color block sandals from J.Crew.

Feeling sweet in this puff sleeve top.

Think feminine print with statement accessories when creating your feminine flair look. Start with ruffles, lace, or tulle and add your own personal twist to it.

Make the look your own and step into Spring with a little feminine flair.
